Several years ago, AGROMONTE implemented a 100% hydroponic planting using rice husks as substrate.

As part of our environment engaged policy we reuse the rice husk after being subjected to a steam sterilization process.

Our beds are designed to collect waste water (leachate) from irrigation which is reused after a biological purification process decreasing water consumption and avoiding environmental impact.
